Nemam Choleswarar Temple, also known as Jayamkonda Chozheeswarar Temple, is one of the treasured Shiva temples of the Chettinad region, admired for its history, architecture, and sacred atmosphere. The temple is also traditionally linked with Saint Appar and is regarded as a Vaippu Sthalam, with the ancient name Nemanallur believed to refer to this historic place in Saivite literature. It believed to have been built during the Chola period in the 11th century and later renovated by Varaguna Pandyan.
