The museum was opened on 4 April 2017. It is open to the public every day in the evening from 4 PM to 8 PM. Through this museum, visitors can learn about how Alagappa Chettiar contributed to the development of Karaikudi and helped make it a well-known educational hub. He was also honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 1956 for his generous service to society.This museum is not just a place to see old objects; it is a place to remember a great personality who worked for education and social progress.
